The 2012 Reason Rally: 10 Years Later

The 2012 Reason Rally: 10 Years Later

It was 10 years ago today that the largest gathering of atheists (agnostics, skeptics, humanists & free-thinkers) in world history occurred. The 2012 Reason Rally, a successor to the 2002 Godless Americans March on Washington wasn’t expected to have the greatest amount of success on that cold rainy day. Christopher Hitchens passed away a few months prior and everyone was wondering what was going to happen on a day that due to the conditions, could have ended in failure. It ended up being a monumental success. 30,000 atheists appeared on the Washington mall to celebrate reason and to cherish one another.

Even though I was a theist in 2012 and only came out as an atheist one year later. I have come to idolize the rally. I constantly look back at recordings from that day and yearn for Americans to re-live a similar moment, a healthy and bi-partisan organized atheism.

Here’s a video I just released with more of my thoughts pertaining to the rally.

Within the description, there are also numerous links for those who want to learn more. Special thanks to the organizers, some of whom still do believe in bi-partisan atheist activism free of woke infiltration. I must also acknowledge and thank David Silverman personally, for if he didn’t create and organize the rally himself. It never would have happened.
