Atheists for Liberty President, Thomas Sheedy, was recently interviewed by Vanity Fair. In the article, Sheedy talks about the state of conservative politics amidst an increasingly secular Gen-z population, saying, “the party’s failure to reach across all age groups has a lot to do with religion.”

For a long time the Conservative Movement was known for being the leading mover for Evangelical Politics. This runs counter to the views of most young Americans.

Furthermore, the younger demographic is becoming more secular. This is while evangelicalism has been steadily declining, especially among Gen-Z voters.

So, this makes it imperative that the Conservative Movement as a whole becomes more “big tent minded”. And this is especially true if they want to survive in the future, much less if they expect to win the next election.

Join Atheists for Liberty as we work towards a more open and accepting American politics on both sides of the aisle. In this way, we can appeal to the next generation of voters.
